My name is Filippo Steven Ferrara and I'm a half German half Italian documentary photographer living in Florence, Italy.
After studying anthropology at the Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich, I attended a masters programme in photojournalism at Officine Fotografiche in Rome. Later, I was selected for a fellowship by the photo agency Parallelozero and also participated in the Canon Student Development Programme. In 2018, I took part in the Dry-Photo residency in Prato, Italy. Currently, in parallel to my master's in anthropology and social research at the University of Siena, I work as a freelance photographer in and around Florence and lead photo courses for children coming from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.
